Washington DC Monument Engagement Photos | Jessica & Matt

March 22, 2018

Jess and Matt met me on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in March when the nation’s capital was buzzing with people exploring the monuments and enjoying the sunny, brisk day. Easy to chat with and clearly crazy about each other, Matt and Jess meandered with me through the monuments, stopping for snuggles and kisses as we made our way from the Lincoln to the Jefferson with a few stops in between. Even though the evening grew cold, the sweet couple didn’t complain once! For the first time that any of us could remember, the reflecting pool in front of the Lincoln monument didn’t have any water! We took advantage of the crazy-beautiful sunset and walked along the center of the reflecting pool for some memorable shots that are some of my favorite that I’ve taken. The setting sun met them perfectly as they snuggled together to end the shoot!  We are looking forward to their wedding at the Silver Swan Bayside later in the fall!!
