Haley and TC hosted an amazing weekend in Annapolis and the eastern shore for their Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Spring Wedding. From their rehearsal and welcome party celebrations at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel to their beach front wedding. These two come from incredible families who know how to CELEBRATE!
A little back story…They were both members of Cannon Eating Club while at Princeton. They knew of each other, and their social circles often overlapped, but they had never officially met. In late 2017, Haley and TC officially crossed paths on homecoming night in Princeton. TC found Haley at Cannon and struck up a conversation. They ended up talking the entire night and getting to know each other. The rest is history…
YEAR ONE
TC and Haley officially started dating in January 2018. At the time, TC was a little apprehensive because Haley was a senior while he was a junior. But ultimately, the two decided to go for it despite her upcoming graduation. That year was filled with Cannon study nights, rowdy Princeton women’s lacrosse home games with TC and the football boys making their attendance known, and getting to know each other’s families. The second time TC met Haley’s parents, he was decked out in jean shorts and a cowboy hat at the women’s lacrosse Ivy Championship game (don’t worry, it was a costume and he wasn’t the only one). Haley went to her first SchneiderFest on July 4th, which is essentially a big Schneider annual family reunion. There, she learned how to play croquet the Schneider way, and she tried her hand at frisbee golf. That fall, TC went back to Princeton for his senior year while Haley settled in DC to start her career in consulting at Deloitte. They spent many weekends visiting each other in Princeton and DC to spend time together and become even closer.
DC TO DALLAS
After TC graduated from Princeton in 2019, he moved down to DC to work for Noom, a healthcare company, and spend a year with Haley. There, they got to explore history in adventurous ways by going on long runs along the National Mall, visiting monuments/museums, and playing softball with friends downtown. They also had the luxury of being close to Haley’s family for Sunday dinners and spontaneous gatherings. When COVID hit, Haley and TC spent their Saturdays doing 10-12 mile walks throughout DC, exploring a new part of the city each time. They tried many a cupcake, bagel, and sandwich, and quickly grew their list of favorite takeout restaurants in DC. In May of 2020, TC was accepted into UT Southwestern Medical Center to start his medical school journey. That July, Haley and TC moved down to Dallas to start a new adventure. While adjusting to virtual medical school was a bit of a challenge, Haley and TC were able to quickly find friends and community in Dallas, and be closer to TC’s parents, Tresa and Rob. Haley started a new job in career coaching at Southern Methodist University, while TC spent his days attending virtual lectures and going to the hospital for medical training. Haley also realized what good Tex-Mex and barbecue really taste like, and vowed never to eat those cuisines up north ever again.
THE ENGAGEMENT
In December of 2021, Haley was visiting her family in Maryland for the holidays. TC was supposed to come up and join right after Christmas to spend a week in Maryland with her family, as well. TC flew up to Maryland on a Sunday (with his parents – although Haley didn’t know that at the time). On Monday, TC suggested that the two of them walk around DC before meeting up with their friends, Matt and Christine, for happy hour. The two had lunch in DC, and walked around the National Mall and monuments. At one point, TC suggested that he and Haley check out a pond right off of the Washington Monument on their way to meet their friends. As they were walking over there, Haley started reminiscing on the things they got to experience in 2021. TC took this opportunity to let her get to December in her recap, and then said, “You know what else happened in December? I proposed!” Haley couldn’t understand what was happening until TC got down on one knee by the pond and asked the big question. Afterwards, both sets of families jumped out from across the pond cheering. Haley and TC were so grateful to be able to celebrate with their loved ones and it was a moment they both will never forget.
