Krithika and Igor met in late 2016 at a mutual friend’s holiday party in Brooklyn. They were both completing their Masters degrees at Columbia University at the time and although they’d seen each other around campus, they’d never had a real conversation until that night. The day after the party, Igor asked Krithika out for a coffee and by graduation, they were officially a couple.
They now live and work in Washington DC with their houseplants, and still can’t believe how good it feels to share a home with your favorite person. They love going back to NYC every few months to walk around their favorite neighborhoods and try new restaurants.
Igor proposed to Krithika on the Duke Ellington Memorial Bridge in Washington DC on May 11, 2021. It was a Tuesday night and naturally they celebrated the occasion with tacos and margaritas.
