One of my favorite people, Katie, married Rob Burns on 11/11/11 in Windsor Connecticut. I’m especially fond of her and thrilled she and Rob found each other – I’m sure that together they’ll create many moments as happy as I enjoyed with Katie in college.

The couple’s wedding ceremony was held at St. Gabriel’s Church in Windsor, Connecticut. Their beautiful reception took place at the Windsor Marriott, where the accommodations went above and beyond expectation: tables, chairs and fixtures were rearranged to help make Katie and Rob’s day worry-free (and my responsibility of being a destination wedding photographer much easier)!

These newlyweds got the dancing started with to Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize” and inspired their guests to tear up the dance floor. Everyone shook their booty and let loose!

Rich eggplant and delicate lavender were the colors on this coveted wedding date. The bridesmaids were extremely helpful and visibly joyful for Katie. Their favor on this good-luck date was a donation to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Nancy Burns’ name, including iconic pink “imagine life without breast cancer” bracelets. These were worn throughout the reception; a touching gesture that honestly moved me.

Mrs. Nancy Burns’ life was both remembered and celebrated on the groom’s wedding day. With loving family and good friends by their side, these sweet wedding photographs show some of Katie and Rob Burns’ warmest and happiest moments. My best wishes to you both!
