Karen and Kenny met during a night on the town in San Diego, and after hitting the dance floor together the rest was history. The couple’s Annapolis Sailing Club beach wedding was as “sweet” their engagement story!
Karen says, “We have traveled all over the world together on fun and exciting trips! Every trip I would wonder if this is the trip he will propose! Kenny knew he had to be slick to surprise me with a proposal. One Friday, Kenny texted me to say I should stay at work a little longer because he had to also stay at work a little later and we would plan to meet at home closer to 6p instead of sneaking out early on Fridays like we usually do. This made so much sense to me since I knew we both had a lot of work to get done before we headed Marlin fishing in Cabo with all our friends. So.. I walked in the door that Friday night with my backpack on and all, and when I opened the door to our condo, Kenny was on one knee and I nearly fell over and burst into tears! It was the absolute perfect, most intimate proposal I could have hoped for! Another fun fact, the ring Kenny designed for me, somehow ended up getting lost in the mail system and hours before he was to propose he still had no ring in hand. A couple months prior, I told Kenny that I didn’t care what the ring was, I said I would say yes to a ring pop! And yep! That Friday night, Kenny was on one knee with a ring pop. I cried so hard. Best thing ever! For the record, the ring finally arrived and was STUNNING. Best day ever! (Until the wedding!)”
