I met Caitlyn and her parents at Mad City coffee shop in Columbia, MD months ago. Ever since meeting Caitlyn, I was so excited to photograph her wedding. I felt her excitement and creativity and wanted to truly capture something beautiful for her and Kevin. I love to antique shop in vintage stores, while I was shopping at the Pink Cabbage in Ellicott City, I found one of my favorite props to date! A parasol made all of newspapers. I instantly thought of Caitlyn and her graphic design background, so needless to say I was even more excited to have such a neat prop for her elegant and modern wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner.
Alexandria, Tysons Corner, and any neighboring town has the craziest traffic ever! Luckily Caitlyn and Kevin did a “first sight” and we were able to capture some truly stunning images with their wedding party in the natural light. Doing a “first sight” is such an intimate and private way to see one another before your ceremony. It gives you more time together on your wedding day and also saves you time after the ceremony so that you enjoy your entire day once you say, “I Do”! Of course it isn’t for everyone, but it really worked nicely for Caitlyn & Kevin’s wedding.
