Shawn and Megan met in 2014, they were 19 years old. Megan was the new girl on Kent Island which is where Shawn grew up. My parents moved to Kent Island after Megan graduated from high school, and when Megan was home from college in the summer, Megan got a job as a server at Bridges Restaurant in Grasonville. Shawn (and his best friend/man, Caleb) both worked on the line as cooks. The minute Megan met Shawn, Megan was captivated by his voice, and Megan had the thought, “this man is going to be my husband one day.” Megan had such a crush on Shawn, but Megan played it cool. Megan made friends with a few girls at work who would invite me to parties after work. Shawn and Caleb would always be there. They all became good friends. After almost a year and a half later, the timing was finally right for Shawn and Megan. After flirting every summer and late night talks on the pier in my parent’s neighborhood, Megan finally built up the courage to tell Shawn, “Megan want more.” Shawn immediately responded back, “Megan am so in love with you.” They have been together for over 7 years now.
From Megans POV:
On August 18th, 2021, Shawn proposed to me at the pier in Gibson’s Grant neighborhood where my parent’s live. This pier is where Shawn and I went after work and would talk for hours into the night getting to know each other. After I said, “yes!” Shawn and I went to Bridges Restaurant in Grasonville, MD where we first met and worked together!
