We are so excited to share Lindsay & Mile’s Chesapeake Bay Foundation fall wedding. From the moment I met these two at CBF’s open house, I hoped they would include me in capturing their wedding day. I wanted to capture their bubble and WOW the vibes, loving and joyful energy, the music, company, and just overall loving moments did NOT disappoint. These two brought me back to the core of why I love what I do as a professional wedding photographer.

Their Proposal story:

On March 29th, 2024, Miles asked Lindsay to accompany him and Bibi to Thomas Point Park near their home. Park Walks weren’t unusual for them, but they usually went to Quiet Waters. Lindsay thought nothing of this change and figured, “maybe he just wants to check out a new park.” Unfortunately, it was closed by the time they got there. Lindsay, having no idea what was in the works, casually suggested they should return when it was open the next day.

On March 30th, 2024, they tried to visit again. Fortunately, it was open. On the way there, Lindsay enthralled Miles with pitch-perfect car karaoke to emo covers of Taylor Swift songs. Meanwhile, Miles’ heart was beating a thousand times a minute, all while he was trying to play it cool. He did a great job, because Lindsay was still none the wiser.

After walking around the park a bit, they found a beautiful secluded area on the water overlooking the Bay Bridge. Lindsay was busy taking pictures of the scenery and obsessing over how awesome the sky looked. Bibi was digging up a new tree root while barking demands at the ground. And Miles was continuing to try to play it cool while trying to find the perfect spot to ask a question he’d been waiting to ask for a while.

After joining Lindsay in admiring the scenery, they joked, laughed, and kissed as they always do…when suddenly, Miles got down on one knee and now it was Lindsay’s turn to have a racing heart. After that, things went fuzzy and Lindsay did the best she could to listen to what Miles was saying to her, but all she could hear was her own inner voice going, “AHHH! Ohmigod it’s happening! YAY! It’s happening! Is this real?! IT’S REAL!!!” (Miles later informed Lindsay that was actually her external voice talking). After coming to, Lindsay realized, “Wait, he didn’t ask the question!” And in true Lindsay fashion, she gently reminded Miles, “Babe! You gotta ask me!” Miles asked. Lindsay said yes. Bibi got her tree root. Happy tears ensued. And the rest is beautiful history.
