It is safe to say that Pam and Kathleen’s love has been tested by the elements. The two first fell in love during winter days filled with skiing, basement pubs, snow days spent snuggling their three pups, cozy dinners and many nights out dancing close as glitter rained down from the sky; anointing their love with joy and fulfillment.
So, when it came time to propose, it was fitting their story would be fraught with more challenges from the harsh elements. Kathleen surprised Pam with a trip to Provincetown (where they had their very first vacation together) for Pam’s birthday weekend. The trip began when they flew to Boston to take the ferry to Provincetown. What they embarked on was a choppy, “sea sickness inducing ride” they’d ever experienced. They had planned for that warm September weather we’re accustomed to in early fall on the East Coast, Massachusetts had a chillier forecast in store. This didn’t quite set the romantic, relaxing scene Kathleen had hoped for her soon-to-be-betrothed birthday girl. Fortunately, loved prevailed when she gave her a sunset proposal on the beach.
