This George Peabody Library wedding was a beautiful reflection of a couple who values connection, intention, and celebrating with their favorite people. Set inside one of Baltimore’s most iconic spaces, their day felt timeless, warm, and deeply personal.
From the quiet moments shared beneath the towering book stacks to the joyful energy on the dance floor, this couple was an absolute joy to photograph. They were present, relaxed, and genuinely soaking in every part of the day—exactly the kind of wedding experience we love documenting at the George Peabody Library stacks.
Planned by Aubrey Canale of Simply Created Events, the day flowed effortlessly from start to finish. Aubrey’s calm presence and attention to detail allowed the couple to focus on what mattered most—being together and celebrating with family and friends.
Soft, elegant florals and centerpieces by Crimson and Clover Designs complemented the historic architecture of the library without overpowering the space. Guests enjoyed an exceptional meal and cake by The Classic Catering People, followed by an energetic celebration led by Bachelor Boys Band. Personal details—like custom dog-themed koozies and cocktail napkins from Rubi and Lib Design Studio—added a playful and meaningful touch that felt true to the couple. We were honored to photograph this day with Heather from our team and truly adored working with such a kind and loving couple.
Emily & Michael’s proposal story was so sweet and included their doggy! (From Emily’s POV)
Earlier in the week in October 2023, Michael told me he wasn’t going to be playing in the big golf tournament at the country club we are members of (which was interesting to me). He wanted to make plans to hangout, so we decided to go to the aquarium in the morning (which was the morning of the Baltimore marathon— ironic that our wedding is also the morning of this marathon…. we just love being down there during the run apparently!). After spending the morning at the aquarium, Michael suggested we walk our dog, Tessie, at Sherwood Gardens (one of my favorite gardens). Fun fact about this day… it was pouring almost all day. So I thought it was odd he wanted to drive to the gardens to walk her, but I had a hunch he was going to ask me a very important question, so I said sure, let’s go! We drive over and under one of my favorite trees, he asked me to marry him, with our little doggy soaking in the rain! Of course I screamed yes! We ended the day with dinner at my favorite restaurant, Birroteca, and my favorite cake, vanilla/vanilla cake from Grauls!
