George Peabody Library Wedding in Mount Vernon | Carolyn & Nick

Carolyn and Nick’s George Peabody Library wedding in the Mount Vernon area of Baltimore lucked out with gorgeous weather!  As Hurricane Florence headed up the coast, it’s route changed more south and these two were blessed with blue skies.  On September 13, 2013, Carolyn planned a happy hour event for her fellow program members at GE. Under normal circumstances Nick would not have gone, but he decided it was worthwhile to go and meet up with friends he had not seen in a while. Although they knew of each other, this was where Carolyn and Nick officially had their first conversation together.  A few years later, in October of 2016, Nick decided to “surprise” Carolyn with a trip to New Mexico to attend the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Knowing that Carolyn loves hot air balloons, Nick knew for a long time (even before he seriously started planning the proposal) that this was where he wanted to propose to her. After two failed attempts earlier in the day, Nick successfully proposed to Carolyn at the base of the Sandia Mountains.
