Alecia & Jen’s Rehoboth Beach wedding was at the very unique historic, Indian River Life Saving Station. The forecast had been teetering between 70-80% chance of rain ALL day. However on Saturday morning, the skies cleared. It was as if there were two hands in the sky holding the torrential downpour away from Fenwick Island and Rehoboth Beach right where Jen and Alecia had envisioned having their beach ceremony. As Alecia walked up to Jen on the pier outside their Fenwick island beach house, birds were everywhere, and their wedding party sneaked a glimpse from the balcony! I loved spending the day with this entire crew. They were all so fun loving and excited to celebrate rain or shine! Alecia looked gorgeous all done up by her bestie and sister and her wedding party flowers smelled amazing with peonies from Everyday Rose Events. We hopped onto the Jolly Trolley bus and headed to the Indian River Life Saving Station for photos!! It only started to sprinkle and cleared right as guests began to arrive for the ceremony down the beach. Looking back through the photos, it’s pretty special to see one single seagull flying over the entire wedding ceremony. The seagull was closer than normal and followed Alecia down the aisle. I didn’t notice until editing how many photos this seagull was in, but she was very present! They kissed for the first time as wives and headed down the aisle together! Alecia & Jen had planned a special Beer & a Hug line for their guests as they headed into cocktail hour! LOVE this special touch. The tented reception with seaglass blue details was beautifully designed by Married for Good and live music from Whiskey Promise entertained everyone into the night.
Right as we finished sunset photos I hugged Jen and Alecia, walked away….and then looked back and there was a DOUBLE technicolor RAINBOW! Alecia & Jen knew exactly who brought this miracle on and it was an absolutely aw-inspiring moment. Every single person came out to take in the brightest rainbow any of us had ever seen in our lives! It was incredible and I hope it’s just the beginning to all the wonderful miracles that will happen for Alecia & Jen. So grateful to have been there to celebrate and capture their wedding vows & celebration.
