Weekends walking around the Italian market are full of unique and eccentric visuals for any Philadelphia photographer. I bumped into another street photographer who I caught taking an image of me holding Lilly while taking a photo. haha. Pretty hilarious being on the other side of my sneaky photos! Found a delicious cheese shop at 9th and South street called Claudio’s Specialty Foods. Amazing pesto and mozzarella! Anthony’s Chocolate house smelled amazing. So many fruits, vegetables, and butcher shops. It was definitely a nook of Philadelphia that was fun to explore. Even an older man standing with a grocery cart and an old boom box rockin oldie’s tunes on the corner. Watching every different walk of life browsing for their weekly groceries and playing out their weekend routines. Amazing to sit back and watch real life pass by and be able to capture a few vibrant moments in my own life!
Neat to think the Italian market was started in the late 1880s and still runs and opens up every week! Can’t wait to return next weekend to the Italian market with more of a plan and list of recipe’s for the week. If you have any recipes I should try send them on over.
