It all started with a Coldplay cover band. Eric was looking for an outdoor concert buddy and Stephanie was the first taker on Tinder.
What was supposed to be just a fun evening turned into a long distance friendship. After visiting each other over the course of several months, they decided it was time for a change. Baltimore was always a special place to Stephanie, who had lived in Maine since they met, so it was decided that she would move down to Baltimore in March 2020.
Stephanie & Eric were staying up in Northern Maine for July 4th, where Stephanie’s family had been slowly building a cabin on Moosehead Lake. Stephanie woke up to a text asking her to come outside. She scrambled out of bed and walked out the back door to find framed photos of the two of them, candles, and fairy lights. She walked around to the front of the cabin looking out at the lake, and there he was, kneeling with her Great Aunt Dorothy’s ring.
“Eric had chosen the place most special to me and had the ring of someone incredibly special to me,” Stephanie said. “It was my perfect proposal and I’d never given him any hints!”
