A few weeks ago I met with Victoria & Ryan for their Centennial Lake Engagement Photographs
Victoria and Ryan are very good friends of mine. I have known Victoria since our days in drama at Arundel High School! I can’t even pin point the moment we met back in try outs for a play, oh the memories start to disappear as you get older…but BOY do we have hilarious stories to tell about our gallivanting in high school all packed into Victoria’s mini-van. We have an amazing group of friends that have stuck together through high school woe’s, colleges all over the country and world, and now adulthood jobs and scheduling! We have all known one another for almost 15 years and it is like we haven’t been apart when we are all back together…So when we met Ryan, we all knew. Victoria had met her counter part! Ryan is right off the bat an awesome guy, easy to hang out with and fits in with everyone. He is witty and definitely keeps Victoria smiling and laughing. Unless of course you ask who does more “outdoor work”. In which Victoria replies she does because she does all the gardening, and Ryan will say he does because he does everything outside but the gardening 😉 haha. They are a wonderful pair to be around and keep us all laughing every time they visit from Asheville, NC. All the maryland crew misses our “Vikster” but with Ryan we know she’s happy and extremely cared for in North Carolina!
So to add a little bit more story I asked Victoria to share a little bit about how Ryan and her met over 3 years ago!
Victoria: I met Ryan for the first time at a Young Professionals networking talk that my old boss was speaking at. I used to work for a non-profit, and my boss told the group about a volunteer event I hosted at a food bank. Ryan came up and introduced himself after the meeting finished and said he would like to find out how to sign up and volunteer.
I thought he was really cute, so when he showed up for the volunteer event later that month I made sure to place him next to me in the packing line. We talked the whole time and he even stayed late to help me clean up afterwards.
He offered to walk me to my car and we made plans to go out to lunch the next day (neither of us were 100% sure it was a date though!). At the end of lunch he asked me for my number and the rest is history! 🙂
