Essie and Tim met at the Patterson Park Pagoda for engagement photos with their two pups Boo and LouLou. Tim and Essie have known each other for almost 15 years, but it wasn’t until his sister’s (Essie’s college roommate) wedding in July of 2013 that they reconnected. They fell in love over their mutual passion for music, black labs, and bourbon. Since they dated, fell in love, and bought a home in Baltimore, it only seemed right to do their photos in their backyard of Patterson Park! Boo and LouLou were hams and really worked the camera and thanks to Essie’s parents for coming along to take the pups home after their part.
Essie & Tim’s engagement story from Essie’s eyes:
“Christmas of last year, Tim and I had our first Christmas morning in our new home just the two of us (and Boo). The final present Tim gave me was a puzzle. I had a feeling that the puzzle was going to be a proposal, but didn’t want to ruin it if by some chance I was wrong! I was thrown off when the words were not spelling out Will You Marry Me. At the end it was a collage of all 6 of his nieces and nephews holding up signs that spelled out Will You Be Our Auntie Essie? As I put in the final piece, Tim got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the best present I’ve ever gotten! One of the 100 reasons I feel in love with him is his thoughtfulness. He knew how important those kids are to me and how special it would be to involve them in our big day. We then got to go share the wonderful news with my family over Christmas lunch. It was a day we will never forget, and one that we will get to look back on every Christmas together going forward. “
