Each and every one of my couples are very special and unique to me…I love each and every one of you for many different reasons and am beyond grateful that couples continue to feel comfortable and enjoy having their photographs taken with me!
Lauren & Matt are certainly NO exception, in fact I absolutely ADORED every moment at their Lighthouse Sound Wedding. Matt even teased me on their wedding day that I tell all my clients that I love them, and I do….However Lauren, Matt and the Huebler/Chudzinski families have a very special spot. I met Lauren and her parents at a coffee shop in Centerville, MD. I don’t remember how we came up with that spot, oh wait! Lauren and her family were heading home from a trip to their home in Ocean City.
All you need to know is that Ocean City has a very special meaning to the Huebler family. Their grandparents and probably their parents before them have always frequented this vacation spot to gather and enjoy each others company. Lauren’s family even donated a park bench in honor of her late grandparents…We first met for their engagement session months before their wedding on the beach. If you missed Lauren & Matt’s Ocean city engagement session with their pup Charlie (who I am in love with!) you are missssssing out! Chilly windy day, but these two are stunning on the beach!
When I met Lauren & Matt the second time in Ocean City MD, it was their wedding day! Absolutely gorgeous day on the water at the Lighthouse Sound. When I arrived to photograph Lauren’s getting ready, she was so excited to become Mrs. Chudzinski there was no tardiness for this bride! Lauren was wearing a lace gown that fit her like a glove, with a sparkly brooch bouquet filled with brooch’s given to her and family heirlooms…They all piled into the limo and Lauren’s mum stopped, ran inside and came out with a wrapped gift for….ME! Me?! I thought for sure she was teasing, gifts for the photographer on a couple’s wedding day. I was so surprised and grateful. I know you want to know what it was…. AN OLD CAMERA with the flash intact and the bulb still in!! eeeeeee!!! How incredible! If you know me, you know I was holding back tears and was so thrilled that I was speechless. I will never ever forget this thoughtful gift and how the mom remembered after meeting me a year ago that I collect & love old cameras…still warms my heart writing about it. (Another post will be coming soon of this beautiful camera) But stay on track Carly.
We arrived at The Lighthouse Sound and everything was in place the ribbons and flowers outside for the ceremony, gorgeous cake and cupcakes from Cake Art, and Matt was up to his silly tricks. I learned quickly that I do not watch enough TV! Oops. Note to self start watching How I Met Your Mother. Matt rocked the entire day photo bombing photographs like Barney from “How I Met Your Mother”(see photo at the end for all his photos!).
The sunrise came right after the wedding and the light fell on Ocean City, the moon was an amber color and Lauren and Matt’s family shared so much energy! These two are truly an amazing match and I am so grateful to have spent so much time with them over the last year. xoxo
Cupcakes, cake, sand dollars, signature orange crush drink, gorgeous colors, and hand painted glassware! They didn’t miss a detail!
