Baked and Wired, Jefferson Memorial and Georgetown Engagement Photographer

Last week I met with Becca and Alan at Baked and Wired, a new MUST try coffee spot!  Becca and Alan have a coffee date once a week in the morning before work at Baked and Wired.  A few weeks ago we met there to discuss their wedding and I KNEW it was a perfect fit for the start of their corky and playful engagement session.  Yes, I even talked to Tony the owner to make sure we were allowed to kanoodle in their cafe for a bit 🙂  He was so receptive and even gave me a cup full of beans to capture her gorgeous yellow diamond engagement ring!  What a sweet man!  If you are in the Georgetown area be sure to stop in and try a Red Velvet Cupcake and a perfect pour vanilla latte.  They even have Ceremony beans for sale.  Love this place.

So right off the bat Becca and Alan were so romantic, there was no warming up necessary.  Alan would kiss Becca’s forehead, hand, cheek, and shoulder…Yes SHOULDER!  Oh my gosh with absolutely no direction.  It’s as if they had looked through blogs and romantic novels for months practicing.  They were pro’s.  We strolled along the Georgetown canal capturing their favorite spots and then headed over to the Jefferson Memorial where they both run.  Living in and around DC is more amazing then I could have ever thought once I spent the early evening with them.  I never realized how close everything was and how remarkable it is to have these monuments in your backyard.  There was no running on Friday, but I certainly had shoe envy over Becca’s sexy Nine west heels!  Loved them!  These shoes screamed salsa dancer!
