Cinque Terre has been on my travel bucket list for years and I have been SO psyched to share all these travel photographs in Italy. Can’t wait to print them for a large collage of canvases! To say I was excited was an understatement to finally get to see what I’ve stalked online forever! Unfortunately the day we chose to train to the region it was high 90s. If you know me, you know I do not handle the heat well. EEeek! We arrived to the Rapallo train station, since the boat from Rapallo to Cinque Terre only runs on Sundays & Thursdays. We were so excited to get going we hopped on the wrong train! OOps! Headed to Rome, luckily the regional train made a stop at La Spezia. So a couple hours later we made it to Riomaggiore, one of the beautiful towns of Cinque Terre. I was so determined to find that epic view of Cinque Terre we grabbed a fresh seafood lunch on the rocks of Riomaggiore and then headed on the ferry boat to the next town up. Again, be patient, because yet again we hopped off the ferry on the first stop just SO excited to see the next town. haha Unfortunately this also wasn’t the EPIC view of Cinque Terre. However I realized quickly that it was EPIC, we just weren’t sitting in a helicopter taking the photo from the coast. It was a great reminder to see the sights from your own eyes and not expect it to look a certain way. Enjoying the sights as they are is SO important and my perspective changing made the views even more incredible now looking back. Sadly the heat and humidity was so high I almost blacked out and we had to leave and head back to Rapallo.
Arriving back to Rapallo, we headed straight to the rock beach next to the Castle on the Sea, right outside our hotel and had a great sunset dip! The best way to end a hot, humid, over heating day!
We are planning a trip to Cinque Terre from Rapallo .
İs it possible by a ferry boat ?
Thank you.
I believe the ferry boat leaves Sunday and Thursday from Rapallo to Cinque Terre, Enjoy!
