– Emily & John’s Four Seasons wedding in Baltimore designed by Lee with Elizabeth Bailey weddings was such a stylish wedding! From her Jimmy Choo’s to the mesmerizing lace Monique Lhuillier wedding gown, Emily & John filled their wedding day with many special details. (John’s secret dream to have karaoke at his wedding even happened at the after party!) The music was of utmost importance so everyone could dance the night away and they definitely hired the best with Spectrum! Even the flamenco music at the cocktail hour was to honor Emily’s late father.
Story from Emily & John: “Though it now seems to have been written in the stars, one day in 2010, John happened upon photos of Emily that one of her closest friends, Sheena, posted on Facebook.com. John inquired to Sheena, who her friend, “Emily” is? Sheena was dating Amit, one of John’s best friends. Amit soon became very focused on setting Emily up with John. More than one year after John’s initial Facebook inquiry on Emily and shortly after Amit & John moved to NYC post B-school, Amit proposed to Sheena and held an engagement party at The Flute (an NYC wine bar) on November 27, 2011. At the engagement party, Emily finally had the opportunity to meet John. Emily’s friends tried to help facilitate conversation between John and Emily, but John seemed very shy toward Emily irrespective of her efforts to engage him in conversation. John contends to this day that “he was just playing it cool”, but Emily thinks he may have just been a little nervous to meet her. Nevertheless, it didn’t stop John from pursuing Emily and the next day he promptly sent an email to Emily (in all lowercase caps as he mistakenly thought this might impress her), and despite the lowercasing, Emily did think that John’s emails were very funny, witty and sweet and he didn’t waste any time before asking her out on a date that same week. Since November 2011, Emily and John have been inseparable. Today Emily and John share a very loving relationship, are best friends and grow closer each day in New York City.”
See where they now call home on their NYC engagement session. It was such an honor to capture the wedding day of a uniquely kind and incredibly stylish couple. Thank you always to the fabulous Lee and team of Elizabeth Bailey Weddings!
