Kelly & Zach met me downtown for their Locust point Baltimore engagement photos! They met me a few hours earlier than their session to try and beat the rain storm on it’s way. We finished right as it began to drizzle. The light was gorgeous and the harbor was full of pretty epic boats! Zach even brought a couple of the books that Kelly has made for him with stories about their adventures.
I was SO flattered when I got the call from Kelly that Zach had proposed. I had met Kelly at Janie & Michael’s Tidewater Inn wedding, she was a bridesmaid. I didn’t realize that one of the usher’s was Zach. The way these two met is something for the story books, so I have to share their words 🙂
How Kelly & Zach Met: “We met at Janie and Michael Carnock’s wedding! Janie and Kelly were roommates for 6 years, starting in college, and Zach had been friends and roommates with Michael in college as well. We sat next to each other at their rehearsal dinner and bonded over shared interests in reading, faith, and puns. After the wedding, we stayed in touch and started dating a few weeks later. Zach took Kelly ice skating and then up into a cherry picker/bucket truck for a pretty and creative view of snowy Lancaster, PA.”
The Proposal: “Zach recreated the first two days that we had spent together in Baltimore, this time with a few extra visits with meaningful friends scattered in along the way. After biking around the harbor to eat a delicious seafood lunch, we walked up Federal Hill just before sunset. We talked for a while, overlooking the city, while Zach brought out some symbolic items from the time we had been dating. Right around sunset, Zach proposed, and Kelly said yes, and then we got to celebrate right away with friends who had been filming the whole time behind a tree. We biked back home and got to celebrate more that night with family and friends who had traveled from all over to share our excitement!”
