Sunset Tide Point Engagement Photographer

Kristen and Brandon met me last week at Tide Point a gorgeous spot that overlooks downtown Baltimore! The forecast had been 70% chance of down pour at noon, but thanks to some amazing rain dancing moves…. The rain clouds disappeared and the sun shined bright right as we started shooting on the Tide Point waterfront, what a blessing!

We began the engagement session at “Our House” a local pizzeria at (1121 Hull St, Baltimore, MD 21230).  “Our House offers a unique comfortable atmosphere, honor system, and lots of love!”  As soon as I walked, I was in love.  When Kristen and Brandon arrived I had already met the owner, who welcomed us to photograph in her restaurant and made me feel so at home.  This is definitely a spot I will return to enjoy their breakfast pizza, and maybe what, a PRETZEL ROLL?!?!?  I must go back soon.

Back to the most important part of this evening, Kristen and Brandon.  🙂

We headed down to Tide Point, hadn’t taken one photograph but a detail shot.  I asked them to go snuggle while I tested the light and got my setting…and to my surprised eye, Brandon snuggles in and gives Kristen a kiss on the forehead, her cheek and bumps foreheads…This was with absolutely no direction!  I was stunned and so impressed, luckily the years of knowing light I captured those first frames where he didn’t even realize his natural reaction was recorded.  The rest of the engagement session through the sunset flowed so easily.  These two have known each other from high school, through college, and years later have rekindled a really special love!  I am so excited for their wedding at the Four Seasons Luxury Hotel in Baltimore this October!

Don’t worry guys I already walkie-talkied the captain and asked him to turn his sailboat!  No Sweat!  Just the inner thoughts of a cooky photographer.

Kristen and Brandon met at Towson High.  As I was scouting for their shoot something told me, must’ve been ESP, that Towson Street would be meangingful!  Love how they still bring out the kid in one another
