New Project: Annapolis Photographer walks

January 24, 2014

Choosing a career in wedding photography changed my life, but most of all my sleep habits!  I have always been a night owl, but last night was worse than ever! You know the nights when your dreams won’t stop revolving around your head, otherwise known as insomnia?!

Last night was one of those nights. I laid there wondering, what I can do to inspire my creativity.  Everyday I wish I could just stop time and go walk around town capturing details and sights from that day.  It’s amazing to think what I would notice if I went to the same location weekly, purposefully looking for new things and changes.

Light bulb moment!  Wake up an hour early and walk around Annapolis.

Now you know my NEW Project!

Whether in the midst of wedding season or the winter hiatus of album designs I want to continue this self reflection through my photography.  Not only will it help me to focus my visions and ideas, but also give me an hour of quiet time each week where it’s just me and the town!

Who wants to do it with me?!  If you’d like to join in let me know.  You do NOT need to be a pro to take even just 30 minutes and walk around outside and SEE something new.  Most of us definitely need to take time and escape from the hustle and bustle and take some quiet time to innovate and create new visions!

First photograph to start this off from today!

Today I walked around my little neighborhood in the snow with Lilly.  Lilly LOVES eating the snow and realized I caught her on camera! “Mom snow snacks is a private moment!”

Today I took my Canon 5D Mark III with my Canon 100m, 2.8L macro lens
