I am blessed to be surrounded by so many intuitive and inspiring people, artists, “creatives” as a good friend terms it! Most of all I am so grateful that I am able to share my inspiration with others and always speak my mind! On that note of speaking my mind, I have just a little nugget to share…Take what you like and leave the rest. Fair Warning – If you hate hearing my personal lovey dovey narration click the little red X up there at the top of your screen…preferably after you scroll to the bottom to at least see what Albert Einstein had to say!
So, today I sat in my favorite coffee shop, Bean Rush Cafe… taking in the moments strangers share – while they stand in line for their daily caffeine indulgence. Some smile politely, a few rush along, others stop and interact..they share their energy and spirit with each other. They share a moment whether small chit-chat or playful banter, it’s a moment that may leave an impression forever. Add all these small moments up and you get a very BIG collage of sharing and embracing life together. The piece I want to emphasize is together. We are all in this together whether in relationships, friendships, love-ships, acquaintance-ships, lots of silly ships sailing in the wind but the BEST part is when we bump into each other. We learn pieces about a stranger and move forward, maybe taking a little and reflecting, maybe allowing it to change us a bit. Little do you know how much these small moments could truly effect someone else’s life. It’s all in your own perception – what you take in or what you allow to fly right on by. My inspiration for most imagery comes from my day to day people watching and interaction with others! Try it sometime! Take screenshots of your life. Watch the day as if it were a movie. It will BLOW your mind!
All that being said…last night I was challenged. My personal romantic-life, or lack thereof haha, was challenged. Normally it would roll right off my back because I know my dreams and goals right now are greater than the yearning for the romance I lack in my life. What was it that hit a cord? Some would say absolutely NOTHING, walk forward and don’t reflect. Obviously there is something that struck a little scar. A friend said some people find a wound and decide to stick a finger in it, as if they know exactly how to hurt you! Yikes! So I am even asking myself, why am I sharing such deep feelings with a PUBLIC blog, even crazier with my clients, and potential clients, you may ask?
I have an easy answer. It’s why I do what I do & why I am where I am!
I yearn to make a difference in others lives. I want to be apart of something remembered I need to create. To create a moment. I strive to have a greater impact than the dust I leave behind…I do this because I absolutely, with no doubt in my mind was born to see the world and capture it for future generations to see. For now that’s more important to me than any romance would be…I want to learn about life, meet new people, see things that blow my mind, and go places some may never get the chance to see. So if you wonder why I am people watching or capturing other’s living life, and haven’t fallen in love yet?! It’s just not my time yet. I have other worlds to explore, and crowds to watch.
The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before…” -Albert EinsteinIn hopes that sharing my thoughts, my dreams, my accomplishments, my day to day waves help demonstrate who I am. Watch out…you may learn what makes me tick. Capturing weddings, portraits, and people living is only mastered when you enjoy interacting with others being their truest selves, completely natural and relaxed in front of my lens. It’s how they’ll be remembered so it better be captivating!
Thanks Dennis for taking this deceiving jump shot at the Ocean City engagement session this week that will be on the blog tomorrow!!
