Sunset Engagement Session in Eastport | Margaux & Anaiis

June 11, 2025

Every now and then, I meet a couple whose connection feels like it’s been written in the stars—and Margaux and Anaiis are one of those pairs. Their love story began in a Business 101 class at American University, where something about sitting next to each other in a lecture hall turned into something much deeper. From first glances over notebooks to planning a wedding together—these two have grown side-by-side with a kind of intentional love that’s both grounded and magnetic.

Just weeks before their big day, Anna met them for their engagement session in Eastport. This was more than just a photo shoot—it was a way for them to get comfortable being in front of the camera and to soak in a little calm before the wedding whirlwind began.

Make a Date Night of It in Eastport

If you’re planning your own engagement session around Eastport, I always recommend turning it into a full evening together. After all—you’re already dressed up and glowing!

Here are some favorite local spots to grab dinner and drinks:

  • 🍻 Forward Brewing – Laid-back, local, and the perfect spot for a post-session craft beer and some small bites.

  • 🍗 Adams Taphouse and Grille on 1st Street – A great casual spot with cozy booths, comfort food, and a killer crab dip.

  • 🌊 Chart House Annapolis – For a romantic waterfront dinner with sunset views and fresh seafood just steps from where we shot.

And to end the night?

🚤 Hop on a Water Taxi from Eastport across the harbor to downtown Annapolis and treat yourselves to homemade scoops at Annapolis Ice Cream Company. It’s the cherry on top of a perfect evening.

A Golden Hour Stroll Through Eastport

We started at the Carroll’s Creek overlook, where the light was soft and golden, bouncing perfectly off the water. It’s one of those tucked-away spots that always feels calm, even when the marina is buzzing in the distance.

From there, we strolled through the heart of Eastport, weaving through quiet side streets and coastal charm. We ended up at our secret little beach—a hidden gem that gave us wide open skies, sparkling water, and the kind of sunset that photographers dream about. As the light dipped behind the Eastport Bridge, Margaux and Anaiis held onto each other, laughing, swaying, and soaking it all in.

Why I Love These Sessions

Engagement sessions aren’t just about the photos—they’re about slowing down and connecting. For Margaux and Anaiis, it was a chance to simply be together. No timelines, no to-do lists, just the two of them, their story, and a camera capturing it all.

Their chemistry? Effortless. Their laughs? Contagious. And the way they held each other as the sun disappeared behind the bridge? Absolutely unforgettable.
