Hannah and Nick’s Tidewater Inn Easton MD wedding was total perfection. Their wedding fell on Cinco de mayo and they chose certain festive details to celebrate, including a CRAZY awesome taco bar that was the rave of the night! Hannah and Nick met at the University of Maryland when they were juniors. Their paths continued to cross through college and after graduation, until 2013. Nick moved back to DC for a job and they began to see one another more often, including a first date at King’s Dominion! Fast forward 3 years, Nick planned to propose on New Year’s Day in Dublin (Hannah made him promise not to propose until 2017). However, he got food poisoning from his dinner on New Year’s Eve! So, instead of spending the day finding the perfect spot to propose, he instead spent all of it stuck in the hotel room.
Once Nick was healthy, he only had one more day to get the job done. On the way back to the hotel in the afternoon of January 3rd to start packing, Nick and Hannah made a quick detour to walk along the Samuel Beckett Bridge, AKA the Harp Bridge. You see, Nick’s father proposed on a bridge while his parents were in Prague, so Nick wanted to do the same thing. After a moment of protest about going out of the way to the bridge, Nick quickly asked a stranger to take a photo of them on the bridge. Little did Hannah know, Nick also whispered to the stranger his plan of proposing at that moment, asking the stranger (a very nice Italian man) to take as many pictures as possible. As soon as they got home he created a Wedding and Event Planner in order to clear the rush of happiness in their brain and make sure everything was prepared!
The rest, as they say, is history.
