Tidewater Inn Wedding in Easton Maryland | Emily & John

Emily and John’s Tidewater Inn Wedding in Easton Maryland wasn’t short of perfection.   Everything seemed just right including Emily and John’s love for one another. Emily looked stunning in her Anne Barge dress and John was her tall dark and handsome Prince rocking a Hugo Boss tux. The reception was filled with charm and class and an incredible band, 10 Spot.  The couple danced a perfect waltz, the best man gave a speech that left us wanting more and they even ended the evening with a serenade from a groomsman. It was a celebration to remember.

John and Emi have known of each other since they can remember, having attended brother and sister schools in “Smalltimore” and living only 5 minutes apart. They joke about how many times their paths must have crossed without either knowing it.  The couple formally met at a Baltimore Ravens game in October of 2008, their senior year of high school. A few hundred texts, two dates, and a school dance later, John asked Emi to be his girlfriend.  9 short months later, John and Emi, now best friends and very much in love, were set to go to college hours from each other. After 4 years of bi-monthly visits in Geneva, Ann Arbor, and Baltimore, it was finally time for the couple to be back together again.

After college, both John and Emi accepted jobs in New York (investment banking and digital media), and enjoyed living with one another in a 400 square foot apartment. Given John’s stature and the size of Emily’s wardrobe, the space constraints of New York City proved challenging so it was time for the couple to head back to Baltimore.  As John and Emi looked forward to moving home, they made several trips back and forth to minimize the effort required for the “big move.” An important note: Emily’s shoe collection alone required one trip in her dads Yukon from NYC to Baltimore. On the last of their moving trips, John took off from work, rented a car and drove home while Emily stayed in NYC and took a late train home after work.

Saturday morning, June 6th, John and Emi made plans to go to their favorite restaurant in Baltimore, the Charleston, for dinner. Although eating at the Charleston is certainly enough to get them excited, something more life changing was about to occur and Emily had no idea. That night, John asked his future “bride to be” to take a walk by the water, in the same spot he first told Emily he wanted to marry her. 7 years later, Emily said “Yes.”

The couple still lives happily on the water in Baltimore, where both talked about living since the fall of the year they met.
