My Life on Film | Philadelphia Film Photographer

December 4, 2014

Tonight I received an extremely EXCITING email from The Find Lab, possibly only other film photographers would understand! ha.  My Film scans were online!!  They not only develop my color and black & white film, but they also, scan, and ship it back to me.  Amazing!  It is better than Christmas morning.

I bought my Mamiya 645AF a month ago and have been shooting select moments in my own personal life with film.  I have been trying all sorts of different film to see which are my favorite.  So far Kodak portra and Ilford B&W are my favs!  I cannot wait to explore my own life and free time on film…Until then here are a few of my favorites from my travels around Philadelphia for the day.  From the Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk to Philadelphia City Hall, Honey’s Sit n Eat Diner, Northern Liberties streets and my favorite Rittenhouse Square restaurants: Parc Bistro & Rouge Rittenhouse.

This is gorgeous! I love the idea of using film to capture your personal moments. I never bring a ‘good’ camera with me for anything because it feels too much like work (Sad, I know, but true). I wonder if a film camera is what I need to make it fun again 🙂

So pretty. I love the Ilford photos the best – they are truly beautiful!

I miss film! I totally get the excitement you are talking about. These seems like such a fun project and I can’t wait to see more. All we need is a picture of you taking a picture, while riding out of the sunroof!
