Music last night at the cafe made some of my favorite Father Daughter photographs flash through my mind.
To get out of my home office and the endless list of home improvement jobs I escape to any and all local coffee shops! My favorite will always be Bean Rush in Crownsville. Now that my new home is far far away, I have tried out a new cafe Zu Coffee..GASP! I know I used to have said I was cheating. But folks it had to happen, I had to find something closer. Needless to say the 2% vanilla Latte is not the same…SHHHhhh don’t tell Zu! While sitting at Zu Coffee I heard a beautiful song play, “Father and Daughter” by Paul Simon:

Yes I was that crazy girl sitting alone at a table hiding her falling tears! WHEW! What an incredible song. The lyrics, the melody, the message…so much about the song resonated to me. Songs, sounds, smells all mean so much more than they used to, since the loss of my own father. Being able to photograph these special moments for others means the world to me. More then I can explain. It gives me the opportunity to capture something for them that I couldn’t experience and for that I am so grateful!
